Child Support

The General Assembly has updated the Virginia Child Support Guidelines, the first update since the 1980s. The update is based on the application of current economic data and costs of living information. The other change is the $250.00 threshold amount for unreimbursed health care costs has been eliminated. The court will base the payment of unreimbursed medical on the relative monthly gross incomes of the parties.
